Encrypted ECG link on FPGALiaison ECG chiffrée sur FPGA

An FPGA system that processes ECG signals in real time and protects them with ASCON encryption, using hardware parallelism for biomedical signal processing.

How it worksFonctionnement

  1. ECG recordings stored as CSV files are sent from the computer to the FPGA over UART.
  2. The FPGA encrypts the samples with ASCON-128, a lightweight cipher suited to hardware.
  3. The encrypted data goes back to the computer, where a Python script decrypts it and plots the waveform to check it end to end.
